24/7 Emergency HVAC Service

Heating or cooling failure? We answer.

Heating or cooling fails on the worst possible night — that's how it always seems to go. We run a real 24/7 emergency dispatch for Halton Hills, with technicians on rotation for after-hours calls. Not a call centre routing to whoever's available; an actual local team.

For genuine emergencies — no heat in winter, no AC during a heatwave with vulnerable household members, suspected gas leak, carbon monoxide alarm — call us directly rather than booking through the website. Phone is faster and we can give you triage advice while we're dispatching.

24/7 emergency service available

What counts as an HVAC emergency

Calls we dispatch on within 4 hours, 24/7:

  • No heat with outdoor temps below 0°C — frozen pipes become a real risk within 8–12 hours in older Halton Hills homes
  • No AC with indoor temps above 28°C when the household has elderly residents, infants, medical equipment, or anyone at risk in heat
  • Suspected gas leak (rotten egg smell) — call Enbridge first at 1-866-763-5427 from outside the house, then us once they've cleared the leak
  • Carbon monoxide alarm sounding — evacuate, call 911 or Enbridge, then us
  • Major water leak from indoor HVAC equipment (water heater, AC condensate, boiler) causing immediate property damage
  • Furnace short-cycling rapidly (clicking on/off every 30 seconds) — unusual and often indicates a controls or safety issue worth investigating same-day

How an emergency call goes

  1. 01

    You call our emergency line

Phone is fastest — the dispatcher gets your address, situation, and gives you triage advice if relevant (turn off the AC if iced, leave the house if gas leak, etc.). Web form is fine for non-emergencies but slower.

  2. 02

    Technician dispatched

Within 4 hours during business hours, within 6 hours overnight. We text you an ETA so you're not stuck waiting blind. After-hours rates apply — slightly higher than daytime, but for genuine emergencies the math is straightforward.

  3. 03

    Diagnostic & options

Same as any service call — we diagnose, explain what we found, quote the repair before doing the work. Most emergency calls are repairable on the same visit with parts we carry.

  4. 04

    Temporary solutions if needed

If a repair part needs to be ordered (rare on the trucks but happens), we'll set up temporary safe heating or cooling — space heaters, a portable AC unit, or a stop-gap repair — to get you through until the permanent fix arrives.

After-hours pricing

Emergency rates apply outside standard business hours (Mon–Fri 7am–7pm, Sat 8am–5pm, Sundays). Diagnostic call: $220–$280 after-hours, vs. $120–$160 during business hours. Repair labour is at 1.5x standard rate. Parts pricing doesn't change.

For a no-heat emergency on a January Saturday night, you're typically looking at $400–$650 for a same-night repair with common parts — well worth it relative to frozen pipes or a sleepless night with kids in the cold. We invoice clearly so you see the breakdown.

Frequently asked

Emergency Service questions

What's the fastest way to reach you in an emergency?

Phone, always. The web form is fine for non-emergencies but adds 10–30 minutes vs. a direct call where dispatch can triage and route a tech immediately.

What if you're booked solid during a cold snap?

During major cold-snap weeks (when every HVAC company in the GTA is at capacity), we prioritize households with vulnerable residents — elderly, infants, medical equipment users. Everyone else gets next-available, which can be 8–24 hours during peak demand. We'll be honest about timing when you call rather than promising what we can't deliver.

I smell gas. What do I do?

Leave the house immediately. Don't operate light switches, garage door openers, or anything electrical that could spark. Once outside, call Enbridge Gas at 1-866-763-5427. They'll dispatch and shut off your service if needed. Once Enbridge has cleared the situation, call us — we can repair the gas appliance (furnace, water heater, etc.) that caused the leak.

My carbon monoxide alarm is going off.

Treat it as real. Get everyone (including pets) out of the house. Call 911 or Enbridge from outside. Don't re-enter until cleared by emergency services. Carbon monoxide poisoning can be fatal at levels you can't smell or see. Common HVAC sources: cracked heat exchanger in a furnace, blocked flue, malfunctioning gas water heater. We can repair or replace the equipment after it's been professionally cleared.

Is your emergency service really 24/7?

Yes. We have technicians on rotation for after-hours dispatch. The line is answered by a real person, not a callback service. Sundays, holidays, 3am — same number. That said, response times after hours are 4–6 hours rather than the same-day window during business hours.

Will my furnace warranty cover an emergency repair?

If the furnace is under manufacturer warranty (typically 10 years parts), the failed component is usually covered — meaning you pay diagnostic and labour, but not the part itself. We handle warranty claims with the manufacturer on your behalf during the visit. Bring out any paperwork you have if you can find it, but we can usually look up registration by serial number.
